I didn’t expect a balance update to change how I felt about playing PoE 2—but it did.


When skills started scaling properly, something clicked. Cooldowns lined up with damage growth. My build didn’t feel weak early and broken later—it felt consistent.


The shift in skill attribute alignment helped more than I thought it would. Skills moving from Dex to Int or Str removed a lot of invisible friction. I wasn’t wasting points just to “unlock” gameplay anymore.


Because progression felt smoother, I started experimenting more. That’s when I noticed how often players mentioned efficiency tools and services.


That’s the difference. The game isn’t pushing players toward shortcuts. It’s encouraging exploration, and players naturally look for ways to support that freedom.
